My God. Winston is played by the guy who played Sutler in V for Vendetta. Mind=blown!

Don't plan to ever watch this, the book was too good, I don't want this making me see the book differently.

John Hurt is perfect for the role! I love how they made him kinda look like Orwell.

I would probably be arrested for fartcrime

still reading the book. Will watch the movie after. Hope this crappy 80s music isn't all over the film because the book isn't exactly screaming for cheesy 80s music

The song and the album by Eurythmics are both marvellous. What some commentors here seem to not understand is that the music is actually portraying the musical landscape of the Orwell dystopy, the type of robotic pop music you would hear if you turned on a radio in Oceania. The song "Doubleplusgood" is the best example, where the song itself becomes an obnoxious commercial for Oceania and its ideology. The album stands on its own feet as an artistic interpretation of Orwells novel.
