  • Actually the restrictor in the supply hose is the result of a requirement in a standard, the flow into the suit shall be less than the outflow capacity of the dry suit dump valve.

    I personally believe that the flow limitation sucks...

  • I hope this isn't from the manufacturer. There is no explanation of what tech is doing, why he is doing it, or how it is being done. A few words would be helpful.

    A restrictor is there in case something goes wrong (busted inflator hose). That way you can breath as you surface.

  • Yes it's a simple fix, but one has to wonder...why did we need a flow restrictor in the hose in the first place? If too much air is going into your drysuit STOP pushing the stupid inflator.

  • Mine was a black one and it just fell out.

    I thought SITECH had fixed their issue with this hose system, you know when it would just pop off on its own?
