Motorists countrywide woke up to record high fuel prices as the Energy Regulatory Commission's new pump prices were implemented. Many oil marketers closed shop last evening after the announcement of the new prices, hoarding the commodity to be able to make more under the new pricing regime. The increases by at least 7 shillings are likely to lead to a price hike of most other major commodities and may lead to runaway inflation, according to experts. Motorists now want the government to review the price control mechanism to ease the situation.

  • i dont see why petrol prices have risen when the methods of getting crude oil are the same as they have always been. its just governments wanting more control over people the bastards

  • @SuperTruth77 PMSL!!

    1. Denial 2. Anger 3. Bargaining 4. Depression 5. Acceptance.........

The 5 stages of buying Petrol.

  • What did that guy say from 1:24 to 1:43? look at the womans reaction HAHA

  • My 73YO Dad is very concerned about the price of petrol, & has become convinced that all motor vehicles can run perfectly well on human urine.

He’s been hanging around drinking from water taps at filling stations, telling folks that he can fill their tank much cheaper than the big oil companies can. Sadly, some college dudes actually took him up on this & he was filmed inserting his penis into the car’s tank- an appalling humiliation for our family.

We’ve now placed him in a SECURE home.

  • Serikali itatusaidia vipi sasa? Kweli jamaa? Like someone else said, the developing countries are going to take the brunt of efforts by oil companies to corner the oil markets. I wonder why we never think of solar alternatives that would drive the adoption of electric vehicles? True, the upfront outlay is enormous but it carries with it unlimited future savings on energy costs.

  • GoK should lay serious railway and have super efficient rails so that people can use public means. these prices are unacceptable.

  • perks to state and federal employees who do nothing but draw a pay check and sit on their butts, and Obama spends more time hanging out with celebrities and professional athletes than trying to fix the economy. Oh yeah, we are also killing more Arabs in an illegal war in Libya. This will bite us in the rear soon.

  • Gas will be over $4 by summer. This will destroy whatever minute economic growth we've had. America is done. Children are being strip searched at the airports, more and more Americans are living off food stamps and welfare, more jobs are shipping overseas, unions want to take more from taxpayers to give

  • Ugandans are already rising up against the government and yet kenyans because of tribalism and politics they cannot unite, they better suffer in silence.

  • price controls achieve the opposite, gava loses taxes due to black markets. maybe high commodity and fuel prices will make kenyans not think of tribalism and nepotism but merit and achievement.
