I don't care what anyone says, what you're saying is actually really smart. Meds really can screw you up if you're taking them when you aren't supposed to. Its also very possible for people to make themselves mentally ill with nothing but what a doctor said. Once I got a cold that lasted me three weeks. I went to the clinic and they told me I had pneumonia. They wanted me to scan my lungs and be prescribed to meds but I didn't do so, and what do you know? I was better 2 days after.

i agree with you to an extent but i think you have to be careful.

I'm on two meds because one wasnt enough. when i first started them i would have been like okay yeah maybe i could do without them.

But after being off of them long enough, i realized just how unhappy i was, and everyone in my life was going away because i wasnt myself and i was screwed up.

there are legitimate reasons for the medications im on, my doctorhates prescribing meds for the reasons youve stated so not all are like that

Definitely not a hater comment from me, but I think that telling you my side of the issue would be alright. I'm 17 years old, and I'm currently on two different medications for Bipolar Disorder. In my life I've had over 4 suicide attempts, one dating back to age 6 that I've told no one about. I've been hospitalized into psych units and been observed and diagnosed and since I started regularly taking the specific medication I was prescribes suicidal thoughts are few and far between.
