I really liked watching your demonstrations.
I only learned a tiny bit of tai chi a few years ago, i was actually learning wing chun but they taught many styles my favourite however was Tai Chi. I'm not the strongest person and during a sparing session against a kid who was learning wrestling i found only the Tai Chi moves were effective. =D

Very Cool series of videos, this is the first series I've seen where someone takes a person through the applications of the form in the order they appear in the form. thanks so much for putting the time into this! How long did it take you to pick part the form and figure the applications out?

can I request you to do the form then break down into application then the form then the application? it's a bit hard for me to follow just the application.

i think this is one of the most well done practical demonstrations i have ever seen. way to go :)

@taijiman7777 Don't worry about fools like this (I'm sure you aren't anyway). What an excellent demonstration. Really enjoyed your video. I have an in-law in Guangzhou, China, that has been practicing Wudang Senfeng Tai Chi for some years now. Any similarities there ? I'm a Wing Chun practitioner myself, and it's always fascinating when you see similar themes appearing in other martial arts. Keep it up.

These videos are great, I love seeing the forms put to practical use. Starting to feel bad for blonde guy though...

@80KungFu anyone in any martial art should know that no matter what style of defense you subscribe to, if you learn it to its full ability to be learned, is unbeatable by any other style. A KungFu master cannot defeat a Kenpo master a Kuk Sool Won master cannot defeat a Tai Chi master -- and the same is true vice versa. If you find Tai Chi ineffective my friend, it is because you did not learn it well enough -- you did not give yourself to it.
I have been training Tai Chi for a long time and I know many applications to the movements. But what I have discovered is that Tai Chi was invented by humans and therefore have flaws like everything else. Some applications are really good but some of them are really bad and unpractical. And maybe the most ridicules thing is how many movements there are to counter one single attack.

I am sorry that you think me "ridicules".
Demonstrations like this one require breaking down movements into many parts. In practical application, there should really be only one continuous movement. This continuity, however, depends entirely on one's ability to "stick and follow in a circle." Demonstrating this would make it impossible to see the technique.
