Kitten set on fire

it's a shocking case of animial cruelty. a kitten was found roaming the streets of springfield after being set on fire. 22news reporter anthony dilorenzo is live at the mspca in springfield where the animal is recovering this morning. police are asking for the public's help to find whoever is responsible for burining this kitten -- and if they are found and convicted the punishment carries a heavy prison sentence. this is nicolas and as you can see, he is badly burned on his face and his body. veterinarians are also treating him for malnourishment. a good samaritan found the 2-month old kitten in the hungry hill section of springfield and immediately rushed him into the mspca on union street late monday afternoon... it's believed that fire was intentionally set to nicolas recently but the great news is that he will survive. now, mspca law enforcement is out to catch whoever hurt this cat. we have seen a couple of situations like this it always is a shock to us we see situations with animals everyday but when something like this happens to an innocent life there are just no words for us. the mspca is offering a 500 dollar reward for anyone that can identify whoever committed this act of animal cruelty.. you can call the center at 413-750-7661. the cat was named nicolas after st. nicolas with the spirit of the holidays in mind. once nicolas is better, he will put be up for adoption.

Yes its cruel, but the cat could have also been sleeping inside an engine when someone turned it on. My grandmother had it happen to her. The kitten freaked out and got itself stuck so it couldnt get out so it was stuck to the engine. She heard the screams and saved it though. He was only bald for a while on that side but no hes fat and lazy like he should be
