Powershifting my 71 240Z at Wilkesboro Dragway

This was the last night I raced my 2.8L setup. At the 2 minutes mark I actually beat the bad azz Cuda with an 8.54 to his 8.55 ,but he redlighted which you can see in the video. I later installed a Diesel Crank in my next engine build with 10.7:1 CR. That car turned a 12.94 @ 104 in the 1/4 mile in Sept 99. In Nov 2003 I later bumped it up to 12.8 @ 107.26 mph.

At that time the suspension was all stock. I ended up with Euro Springs in the back with adjustable Tokicos. I found the best setup was to put the rears to 3 and the fronts to 1 with 24 psi in the rear tires. With that setup I cold get 1.80-1.84 60 foots on regular street tires all day long if I do a good burnout.
