The California operation specialises in utilising the helicopter to reach patients in remote mountain location sometimes difficult to acces by road. New paint schemes are currently being worked on using the LAUSA AIR and AMG logo. The ICAO designation for LAUSA AIR Helicopter Aeromed flights is AMG e.i. AMG209.

Called to assist by a major Oil company requiring a life support capable helicopter to transport a critically ill worker back to the UK for specialist treatment.
On the southern apron at Gatwick, loaded with a medical team of 3 with flight crew LAUSA AIR Senior Fleet Captain Dan Harvey and LAUSA AIR Senior Captain Alain Baradhi the crew request a non-standard IFR departure cruising at 5,000ft direct to the Dover VOR. Arriving just before sunset, the Rig helipad reports major thunderstorms, winds 22kts gusting 34kts.

Well done!! ...It looks pretty hard to control the radios,talk to the controller,fly the aircraft while coping with the strong wind gusts.
