  • You're right. This is from the BBC's Shakespeare series, 1980. And if Hamlet isn't angry with his mother, he is certainly horrified by her easy carnality and the speed with which she downgrades to his uncle (posts "with such dexterity to incestuous sheets").

    Jacobi is pretty good - he seems very angry at his mother ... and talking to the empty throne! Absent mother much?
