Stanzi to Mcnutt Epic Play- Iowa Hawkeyes vs Michigan State Football 2009

They kept the dream alive and won against the Michigan State Spartans. It was epic. Its captured here. Man, I love my Hawkeyes. Stanzi has been talked about being UP and DOWN all year, well it don't matter. He is CLUTCH. and McNutt came out of nowhere to do the impossible! A well-coached team Kirk Ferentz!

The EPIC HAWK drive:
1)At 1:37 Ricky Stanzi Manzi passed 15-yards to Marvin McNutt to the Iowa 45.
2)Stanzi 3-yard rush
3)Stanzi pass incomplete
4)Stanzi 21-yard pass to Trey Stross to the MSU 31
5) Stanzi pass incomplete
6)Stanzi 16-yard pass to Derrell Johnson-Koulianos (DJK all the way) to the MSU 15 for a first down.
7) Michigan State 8-yard penalty for holding (we are blessed)
8)1st and goal at MSU 7, Stanzi pass incomplete
9)Stanzi pass incomplete
10)Stanzi pass incomplete (all IOWA fans are dead silent, dreams crushed)
11) with 2 seconds left and 4th and GOAL, Stanzi does a miraculous 7-yard pass to the man, who only caught 2 balls the entire game, Marvin McNutt for a TD. (complete numbness spreads throughout the body of every hawkeye fan, living in the epic moment)
12) Celebration of history breaking, and more utter shock and awe at what just occured.

Texas, LSU, South Carolina, that's all I gotta say about haters! remember u SEC fans? Ha punks.

"A group of 58 loyal Hawkeye fans left Iowa City in a fan-bus at 6:00am on the morning of the game. 7 hours later we arrived in East Lansing for what would later prove to be a historic evening. Iowa ended up defeating the Spartans 15-13 on the final play of the game. On 4th and goal with :02 left remaing in the game QB Ricky Stanzi fired a game winning touchdown dart to WR Marvin McNutt. 80,000 Spartans were left silenced while Hawkeye Nation went crazy after realizing that the win improved the Hawks to 8-0 for the first time in its storied history. It was one heck of a finish and I was there! The Hawks are now 8-0 and 4-0 in the Big Ten, Ranked #4 in the BCS Standings, #1 in the computer rankings and #1 in the Big Ten over #2 Ohio State who has 1 conference loss. We are MUS's thorn in their side, just like NOrthwester is Iowa's. MSU came to Kinnick last year. Their QB was on the Heisman list. Well until he played against Iowa. We crushed them again. I think it was 31-0 at half. However, MSU fans were great sports and all were very freindly. That says a lot.

I feel sorry for the MSU fans. I know how that feels, especially after Iowa lost to Wisconsin this year. Great game none the less though....both of them.
