Core Commander already did explode, that was what was left him before Arm Commander found him and finished off.

Someone needs to remake this game... and not just "in the spirit of the game" (though Supreme Commander [1st edition] was still one of the best strategy games ever made), but full-on TA remake with them ARM and CORE bad-asses.
A pity Gas-Powered Games seems to have been swallowed by Square Enix, though.
