  • Shawn, the best video instruction ever. I used this for the first time on the course today and brought my score down from low 90's to 83. 7 Greens in regulation. I am a lefty and when I use this tilt twirl with my driver, I have tendency to go right, almost draw heavy or hook. I tried many adjustments to hit the middle of the fairway with little luck. Always right, am I putting to much weight on my front foot, causing everything to head right? Irons were near perfect.

  • @macaronicaesar1 I think it is more of a set up issue with the driver; have a look at my "Rip the Driver; shawn clement" video as well as my "swing plane update; shawn clement" video; You should come see in our forum for some great advice as well! Shawn

  • I've been studying this video repeatedly since posting comment last wk. I keep obtaining new insight. Would it be fair to say that one could imagine or attempt to visualize the mid-point of the shoulder axis as the apex of a triangle with the base of the triangle at the hip level and that this triangle is "tilted" but the angle of this tilted triangle is constant at least through impact... BUT that there is an angulated "vertical-like" motion of the triangle which provides the gyration etc.

  • You could! You must have enjoyed Homer Kelly's Golf machine! Shawn

  • Your swing is looking more like Annika's.

  • Now I just need the bank account to look like hers too! :)

  • @clemshaw Hogan and Moe Norman both display a high finish with the arms, yet their hands are relatively low at the top of their BS. Why is Norman's finish so much higher than anyone else?

  • @clemshaw In the FS to move the club I can pull (with left) or push (with right). You spoke of bringing both "arm assembly" in front of the chest. Do you achieve this by both arms pushing or left pulling & right pushing? Thanks again for being the best teacher. Tiger should be seeing you instead of wasting his time.

  • @clemshaw It's very easy to get locked into positions with TGM. I prefer your approach where you encourage freeing up the body. Speaking of positions :-), is your right elbow showing underneath the left arm on 4.46 a deliberate lead with the right elbow as in skipping the stone or side-arm throw in baseball? Never played baseball but skipping the stone right arm is throwing while the left seems to pull back. What does your left arm do on your DS or FS? Is it a "pull" or a "push"?

  • hey sean, id like to complement you again on the quality of your teaching btw...but you said the bottom of the swing is between the shoulders (that half circle bone thing) ...ive always thought the bottom of the swing was the tailbone?

  • Shawn, I purchased your videos a couple of months ago & have seen some positive results. I setup with a good tilt and neutral grip, but my right side wants to take over and I come across-the-line, especially when my body gets tired later in the round. What drills can I do to strengten my left side.

  • Shawn you are the best! Your videos have helped me a lot, only problem is that I dont have the time I would like to get your tips incorporated in my swing due to 2 little children. Do you have any advise on which drills or videos that one would benefit the most from?? - for us that only have a limited time to practice?? :o)
