Ah, but single handing is my main mode. Got trouble finding a crew for the 16, let alone crew that know what to do...mind you the 16 is ok with just the mainsail up...gets a bit hairy with the jib:)

The 17 looks like a nice boat, if one came up on the UK market I would snap it up.
Got a Hobie 16 which a great boat, bought it second hand...heard all sorts of horror stories of how dangerous it was...pure rubbish...its a good handling boat. I can solo it in some fairly high winds..albeit resorting to reefing:) and usually leave the jib ashore too. Love cats..and really appreciate the lines of the 17 in particular..good filming...good effort

@robraver the 16 is a great boat. I wouldn't trade the 16 for the 17 since the 17 is a single person boat. We are maxed out with 2 and it really sinks. Only one can get on the wings at a time, etc. But its fast!

Yeah, the lake can get pretty wild, but its freshwater. GoPro but before HD. Nice but the menu is not easy.
