i've been visiting some of these sites. Always been a big fan. So many great songs, elegant, moving, brilliant and yet simple to the point lyrics. Crazy good, and yet timeless and universal. His songs would be great for a Frank Sinatra 50 yrs ago in New York!!!! Props to Mackey... Out of all the local singers/musicians he had so much universal potential, he could have been like, beyond Don Ho....thanks Mackey
To this day, my favorite Mackey Song...don't know why they don't play his music even on island radio anymore...so much better than the stuff that is put out...I've lived all over this country and I introduced all the friends I've made to Mackey's music...Thank you Mackey...for inspiring me to love music, to learn and love playing guitar and for creating a space for you in all our hearts...You are one of a kind...
Mahalo for this tribute. It's really lovely and the words scrolling are so heartfelt. I love all of his music but especially those written from places in his life. I think that is what makes us love his music so much because he wears his heart on his sleeve and sings from his soul. He is a one and only and we are all blessed to be able to share in his love of music. Rest in peace sweet Mackey, now you know the unbelievable numbers of people that loved your music and loved you for you.
Mackey was friend, fellow musician and fellow Kalani Falcon. I cry to this day whenever I hear his music and am reminded that he is no longer with us. He is sorely missed but will live in memory through his songs forever.
Mackey feary was one in a trillion and i hope one day someone will sing with such passion and feelings that mackey presented...one question...where can i find his solo or group ( mackey feary band) album or cd's...my blessings go out to his family...mahalo for the video and tribute to a legend
