It's not nearly as well made as a comparable BMW engine, but for a go kart i'd think it's the perfect thing. Very simple, and very straightforward to maintain.

It's an old chinese bike, based on an even older german bike. Theoretically mine is a 1968, but the engine itself is almost certainly not that old. The bike it is based on is a 1930s era BMW.

It is a stylized copy of Russian M-72. All documentation for the production of M-72 and the equipment the Soviet Union gave a friendly at that time, China in 1957.

is this an older bike or Chinese bike? im looking at a go kart with that engine on it and thinking of buying it just trying to make a good decision

Why do you have to let it run until its out of gas? Also, show us the shift lever on the side, that's messed up, I can't see shifting using anything but my left foot.
