I have been dancing tango for a few month. Really enjoys it. Most of the moves I learn from various partners. Your video really helped me understand the system better. I always have some trouble with the drag. It seems, most times when the leader started to drag, my weight is still on that foot been dragged, or else that foot has already moved ahead of the leaders. What did I do wrong?

Hey !
First of all, thanks for the videos. I've been dancing tango for four months pretty intensively and those classes help me review all the steps I already use without realizing. Now I know what i'm doing and I dance in a much neater way !
Here's a little question for you tangueros : what is the difference between the arrestre taught here, and the barrida (that I thought was the arrestre) ? Different names for the same move ? Or are they two completely different moves ?

Dario does teach that the leader should always be aware of the surroundings. Going against the flow should be reserved for times when it is possible - and many times it is.
