Look at this passage. I love this passage. Verse 24.
Now, Im going to put emphasis on the
personal pronoun I.

"For I will take you from the nations; I will gather you from the lands, and
I will bring you into your own land. Verse 25. Then
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean;
I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover,
I will give you a new heart and
I will put a new spirit within you; and
I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and
I will give you a heart of flesh.
I will put My Spirit within you and
I will cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will be careful to observe my ordinances."

Do you recognize a pattern there? Salvation is all about the work of God demonstrating the glory of God, and that is why men such as ourselves should guard it so severely and preach it so carefully, because its all about God and His name, that His name be great among the nations.

Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done.
When you no longer have regeneration in preaching, you have nothing. Nothing. He says, For I will gather you from the nations. Separation. Separation. I will take you out of there, and I will do it with a strong hand. If there is no work of separation in your life, recognizable at any point in time, youre lost. You
say, Oh, Brother Paul, if I say that, theyll kill me. Then, die!
Ill lose my home. Then, lose your home.
Itll cost me. Then, make the payment. Dont tell me about that. How many Calvinists do we have? How many men who have good theology but they are too cowardly to preach it?
Because itll get me in trouble. What do you expect it to do? All the ones who have gone before us, their blood they shed. Youre preaching to a largely unregenerate church body. What
do you expect them to do to you? But how is it going to change except we suffer?
I was preaching at no small school several years ago, and a genuine revival broke out, so they tell me. I am never allowed to be back in that school again. And someone asked me about it. They said, I dont understand. I said, This is what youve got to understand. Men are too civilized to want revival. They are
too proper to want revival. They want everything pretty and clean, and theyll never get revival, because when revival comes, its going to rip everything apart, including us.
The worst thing that ever happened to a preacher is that he becomes civilized. Its worthless. Worthless. One thing I noticed about Leonard Ravenhill, and Id take a Leonard Ravenhill over 20 dead Calvinists. One thing I noticed about Leonard Ravenhill, he was dangerous. He was
dangerous. We are to be men of love, men with towels, men who weep, men who serve, but we are to be dangerous about truth. Do you really expect to get out of this unscathed? Without any scars? Just read Howell Harris,
Daniel Rowlands, Whitfield, the two Wesley boys, even Edwards himself. Look what it cost. And its the same thing in their day that it is in ours. Do you see that? What was going on? Ill tell you what was going on? If youve been baptized as an infant, youre in the church. Even though youre unregenerate, youre in the church. Youre in the church. You got in. Why? Because you went through some manmade superstitious thing. Southern Baptists are no different. Its just we dont have infant baptism. We have that silly superstitious prayer at the
end of a Roman road that sends more people to Hell than every brothel in this country.

Its true. Its true. Its true.

  • what I was seeking to try to convey that calvin was not a christian but in fact a hireling he was theological control freak the pope of geneva and for the record I do not love john calvin acts but I inwardly burn at the shame as has caused the church ...was calvin in the Spirit when he burned servetus - or was he like the paul the apostle after his own conversion you havent answered these questions

  • ´hmm, I guess you call yourself a Christian, but you are not like Paul (no Apostel) and I also think you are not sinless - same here.

You forget the times that the church was in. You forget where Luther and Calvin come from. Luther hated the Jews and preached against them.

Friend this is Catholizism, this is where both men came from. What they did was right to them, but now we know it is sin.

Calvin never said: He his predestined to be burned.

This is hypherCalvinism and not biblical

  • and also not part of Calvins teaching.

  • God did not send paul washer into the world...............

  • @tgillspy : who did? (Please think about your answer)

  • -respectfuly- the point being that calvinism is given the name that for reformed theology -that speaks more of his own agenda and doctirne Calvin mere man who did things that if you or I were to do them we would be in error and in a waiting cell is charged with murder in the second degree in the high court of the LORD calvin bears no authority to change the intent of the scripture by penning down the institutes of the christian religion it is something in history that must not ever be repeated

  • friend I am not sure if I get your point.

Calvins teaching was no different from MacArthurs, Spurgeons, Luthers or even Augustins.

A true believer is no Lutheran nor Calvinist, he is a Christian. We are to become like Christ not like Calvin.

Don´t condem true doctrine because of sin of the teacher, or you must reject Moses right away...

Forget Calvin, take the book of Romans, and test yourself if you are in the spirit.

    In Jesus, Sven

  • @tgillspy1 you manifest yourself for the liar that you are. Calvin never taught any such thing. your slander and hatred reveals itself. God be merciful to you in granting you repentance. you are hereby blocked as a slanderer and false witness against your neighbor.

  • @tgillspy1 My Lord who gave his precious blood that he might purchase a people to himself; who laid his life down on that terrible cross; i count it the blessing of the Lord if i might taste of that suffering in the scorn and derision of such as speak evil of my Lord's gospel. he who bore my sins on that terrible cross; i count it a blessing and an honor to be able to stand and take whatever abuses men like you should throw at me or my brethren in Christ. To God be all the glory forever! Amen!

  • @tgillspy1 i am not ashamed of the gospel that has been preached by Wycliffe, Luther, Augustine, Tyndale, Newton, Spurgeon, Edwards, Spurgeon, or any others who preach that gospel which is according to God's sovereign election of grace. I even thank God that he has been gracious in raising up godly men to be valiant warriors of the word of truth. that gospel which is an offense to the religious world, is precious to those who have been saved by it.

  • @tgillspy it is truly an amazing thing about God who takes sinners like Isaiah, David, Jacob, Samson, Gideon, Solomon, Peter, Paul, James, Augustine, Wycliffe, Luther, Tyndale, Newton, Calvin, Spurgeon, and countless other sinners-including a sinner like me; and lifts them out of the dunghill of their lives to sit with princes. and while the angels in heaven do rejoice at the least of these sinners being saved; it is the brother of the Prodigal that is the only one who scorns in envy at it.

  • @tgillspy Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4

Since when did you gain the ear of the Father over the Son of God? Of all the sins that were in Calvin's life, (i am certain he would give you a life full of them, as would any other of God's saints), he would be made to praise the Lord even more for the abundant grace poured out upon him, which offends you.

  • @tgillspy King David was both a murderer and an adulterer; yet God saw fit to call him a man after his own heart; to inspire him, through his sins, to write one of the most precious of Psalms found in the Bible; not to mention all the other many Psalms God saw fit to use David as the instrument to write them. John Calvin's sins, Martin Luther's sins, Paul's sins, Peter's sins; even the sins of all of God's saints have been forgiven. God has saw fit to use such sinners to proclaim the gospel.

  • @meinaim that is so true. Test yourself to the scripture. not to others who call themselves Christians

  • @tgillspy I dont call my self a calvinist. But I do accept the idea of election. Because it is biblical. All throughout the bible you see God choosing men. Not vice versa. Whether calvin was a murderer doesn't matter to me. The doctrine of election is true.

  • @africanboybkman calvin was a murderer

  • @africanboybkman reformed theology is not the gospel
