After about $800 and some assembly, the cupcake 3D printer springs to action, bringing computer generated objects (from sites like thingiverse) to life. In this case, some sort of dice thingy. It can also make other 3D printers. (Cupcake CNC 3D printer Makerbot Industries)

  • song name?

  • @zadabo99x Mozart Medley, from the Canon HFS100 royalty music CD, included in the box.

  • Nice of you to do the video, but I would have liked to see a better close-up of the detail it created with the large die. Were there flaws? Holes? How did it know what to print for the side facing down?

  • @herelookatthis This is a fun little action video I took, however, I could make a more serious video and review some of the 3D printers at Metrix Create Space in seattle...

  • can you define tinkering? like, did any of the original plans not work or did you got some thing wrong or sth... ?

  • This isn't my CNC (or my project), but the original plans worked fine from what I saw. That being said, if you are expecting one of those $30k units that work perfectly out of the box with no bugs, it may not be the right purchase for you.

  • ahh 3d printing of a large D&D die , does it get any geekier ?

finaly a machine fellow geeks can use to make a rubber band sub machine guns to fend off middle/high school bullies XD

  • @roadragecafe thanks sounds familiar think i played this in my concert band before just cant remember what it is haha

  • How did you get the plastic to stick well enough to the build platform? The plastic in mine does not stick well enough and it screws up object I go to print everytime.

  • Is it compatible with AutoCAD?

  • A 20 sided die?!!! You are a hopeless game dork!

Oh, wait... I've never seen one of those things, what ever it is, that you made.

    Make me one. Please.

  • OH MAN making your own dice. This is obviously the best machine ever.
