Our congress, R, D & Is, have an insatiable appitite for legeslation. Unfortunatly their primary diet is personal freedom. At the core of progressive thinking is the belief that man is perfectable thru legeslation. The brilliance of the founding fathers can be found in the concept of limited government. The intent of the original rule of law was to place the rights of the individual above the desires or demands of the collective.

The rule of law is as flexible as the administration needs it to be. ..like waterboarding..

A southern gentleman? Hardly. Dishonorable at best.

The point of the matter is that there was an honorable way for Joe Wilson to express his views that don't disrespect the office and break the rules of the House.
If Obama is lying, there are more diplomatic ways of dealing with it than ad hominem.

Rep. King's enthusiasm for legislating morality to protect society sounds like something I would expect to hear out of Saudi Arabia. King's beliefs may be different but his tactics and outcome are the same. Tyranny.

I think Joe and Obama should pull up a chair on the lawn and share a joint. Would probably have a better outcome then with alcohol.
Rep. King, by rule of law do you mean the constitution or all the unconstitutional legislation you and your buddies have passed? You wouldn't know the rule of the highest law of the land if it bit you in the ass.
Legislating morality, who's morality Rep. King, yours? Forced morality through legislation is tyranny. We want freedom from the likes of you.

Let me try to explain this a bit better: Joe Wilson, a elected "SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE" ... people meaning us, while listening to another elected SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE, Mr. Obama, caught Mr. Obama lying to his bosses ... that means us. Joe Wilson threw a yellow flag on the play and called foul! Mr. Obama isn't royalty, he isn't a dictator, and he certainly isn't an Emperor. Mr. Obama is a Public Servant. I don't care if he is blue from the planet Vulcan, if he is lying to us, I want to know!

ahh got you. I couldn't handle this mans meanderings and flight of ideas long enough to make it that far. I think I may have missed very little when it comes to any sort of point this person is trying to make. I'm just tired of the wave the dead soldier flag every time the GOP takes a shit in it's trousers...as one of the walking wounded I take great offense at people using us as an excuse to be unaccountable for their actions.
hey bob- that was a little toung in cheek on my part- 4:45 "RULE OF LAW...because i have such reverance for the RULE OF LAW...is the central pillar of american exceptionalism, w/o it, we would have never become the......greatest nation in the world, but WE ARE b/c of that central pillar, the RULE OF LAW"...then further 8:58 "..how important it is to comply with the letter and intent.. not just AVOID prosecution, not just skirt around the edges of the law"

Holy god, this guy's argument meanders all over the place! From Wilson's apology to the rule of law, to somehow not being able to draw the comparison between morality, judeo-christian values, and helping the poor and destitute with universal healthcare...
I honestly don't understand anything he's trying to say. It's almost like he just seems to be spouting off sound bites that he can use later to show how "moral" he is.
