RX7 sisters idling

1988 RX-7 GXL N/A - blue
1990 RX-7 GXL N/A - black

The black '90 was purchased as a non-running parts car. Thanks to a little TLC it turns out she was just badly flooded, then left sitting for a year. So I got her running, and here are the two sitting idling side by side.

Now the dilemma is to decide which to get going! My wife suggests we need a "his" and "hers" matched set. I truly have the most understanding significant other of all time!

id say go with the black one its newer and alot cleaner then the blue one

I do agree it's cleaner, but unfortunately there's more to deal with on the black one. Brake lines and fuel lines must be replace, and I've already done so with the blue one. I just passed safety with the '88, so it's on the road. Over the winter we'll play with the black one and see how that goes.

can you help me out with some problems i have with my rx7? i have a gxl 1987. i need to replace the fuel injectors, both of them and they will cost me 550 dollars for two brand new ones.

then you should keep the black one for parts so if anything goes wrong with the blue one you'll be ready and it would look sweet it you switch the back lights on the black one on to the blue one
