At 1550 grams and nearly half the cost of every other wheel we sell, the Mavic Ksyrium Elite is a real bike racer's dream: light, stiff, fast, and durable.

  • @LoudProudNPunk1 I was looking for the all black finish but it seems like they have been discontinued. Even though, I would prefer the all black finish I think I will have to settle for the all silver. The new black with silver between the spokes nipples looks kinda ghetto. BTW, have you ridden on these wheels more since you did this post two months ago? Thanks for your feedback in advance.

  • @competitivecyclist Rims on these don't have hole for spokes? So, they're easy to set up tubeless?

  • @jcc2150 I've got the 2011 easton's and am having a real issue with rear wheel spoke breakage. Lost 4 spokes in 8 weeks. Moving on from Easton perhaps to Mavic

  • bought a set of these 2 days ago on clearance (2009 silver version for $399). Haven't done any serious riding on these yet, Just my 9 mile round trip commute to and from work yesterday. I was about 5mph faster with the same effort on my old wheels. Got up to speed quicker and staying at speed was far easier than on my previous wheels. On my way home I even hammered on level ground into a strong headwind at 25mph without much effort. So far I am impressed! And yes this vid influenced my purchase.

  • @jcc2150 - They retail for $2700, but you could get it for around $2400. Someone also recommended the Easton SLX, but I did some research and rather buy the HED Ardennes SL. I'm also looking for new wheels for my 2nd bike.

  • thinking about getting a set of these, my other choice is Shimano's Ultegra 6700 wheelset. My only issue with the Ultegras, from my own experience, is that Shimano's freehub bodies tend to be slightly wobbly, which bugs the hell out of me, even though I can't tell a difference while riding.

  • @TonyL78 wow, how much do those cost? im actually looking at the easton 90 slx...andy doesnt have a review on these or the current ones coming out...request?

  • @jcc2150 - Get the 303 Firecrest all Carbon clinchers, get for climbing!! I'm putting the 303 on my Dogma 2.

  • whats the difference between Clincher M10 vs Clincher ED11? thanks

  • hey are these the same weight as the 2011?

how much 'faster' is the 404s? dramatically? or moderately? (404s aren't really good for climbing am i right?)
