Mark Zuckerberg Facebook at SXSW with Sarah Lacy - March 9, 2008
Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg being interviewed at SXSW 2008 by Sarah Lacy. The interview gets ugly when the crowd turns on the self-absorbed interviewer.
News of the interview quickly spread via blogs, Digg and twitter as some popular bloggers call it "one of the worst things in internet history." The entire session should have been a Q&A but Sarah didn't turn the microphone to the audience until the last ten minutes of the keynote.

Nobody cares about Sarah chumming up to / groveling / hitting on the Mark. What a horrible interviewer, horrible interviewee and all around painful thing to watch.
She's pretty awful. It's hard to figure out how he should or could respond, and he seems to be doing his best - in his own socially awkward way - but it's impossible to navigate her self-adoring waters, isn't it? This is what happens when morons get gold stars, people. They think they're genuinely clever and cute and then they get to conduct interviews like this.
This guy will never be a super-success. I predict that facebook, like all social networks, will eventually fase out. It is simply just a fad that does not have the earnings capability of substaining its current ammount of success. Besides, it is not that brilliant if you steal the idea!!
How people become billionaires even millionaires on shit things like Facebook and Myspace, etc blows my mind. How is this even close to "one of the worst things in internet history." doesn't change the shittyness of Sarah Lacy or the asshole that is Mark Zuckerberg.

"Jeez you're so rich, can i bend down on both knees?"
Look at how many people use Facebook/MySpace.
There is your answer.
