Nice latin number here. Here is a good rumba to dance too.

  • One of my favorite Molina sides

  • I like the Molina's material the best of all the latin bands.

  • One of my favorites is his version of Incertidumbre. I have yet to find it on record, though, and the Harlequin CD is a very poor example. Whoever made the Harlequin CD used a poor quality needle, and the turntable doesn't seem to maintain good speed. My own copies of his Capitol records sound much better (such as Chiqui Cha or Volvere). I have no idea why they didn't include his version of Hasta Manana. It's on the flip side of Chiqui Cha, and it's SUPERB.

  • I only own four of his recordings and they are hard to find. Would like to hear those copies you have.

  • Carlos Molina had this great tango, rumba Band at the Ambassador Hotel in LA from 31-34

  • Thank you for this information. I think he was up there with Xavier.

  • great hit of ,32..i think....stunning orchestra-director from colombia i think...

  • There's a pic of the Phill Harris orchestra in the garden of the Ambassador in 1932 and you can see the large sign on top the hotel that also says Molinas' tango Orchestra. Carlos had the top West Coast band in the 30s but never looked for the limlight or got on the celeb band wagon. He died in and around 1950 while being the head of Latin Music for Columbia records...Frank

  • Gets those feet steppin! I prefer dancing the rumba to the cha cha anytime. It is a slower paced dance that suits my dancing abilities.

  • Great rumba indeed!
