Poor Hyacinth.
The more she goes out of her way to appear high class the more embarrassing she ends up. If anything she's and example of why you should never try being something your not.

This should teach Hyacinth a lesson that you don't have to avoid people that aren't in your class. Mrs. Fortescue got along well with Hyacith's sisters. She was polite and had fun with them. She didn't seem to enjoy Hyacinth very much. Hyacinth needed to get the stick out of her butt. For a woman who wanted to be high class. She sure had bad manners and was rude.
