Hi dear bass-freaks,
here´s another little improvised groove.
this time i use the new Markbass F1 amp. It´s a digital amp, with the EQ set flat. I dig it´s tone, size and weight. a really nice amp.
It´s being recorded with a cheap digi-cam..but i hope you can get the idea.
It can really sound old school.
Enjoy.

  • Great groove and delicious tone! I am looking at the F1 as my amp so thanks for the review!

What were you using for a speaker in this video? Sorry if you've already answered that questions...

  • thx for your kind words. in this video i used a german made cab with two eminence 12" speakers.

  • wow, your bass playing is soo funkalicious !! I wish I could play like that one day...

I am considering buying one of those Markbass F1 amps, they sound really good. But I read some issues about going into thermal protection mode a bit too easily when playing live. Do you have such experiences ?

  • thx man, well, i never had any problems with the F1. it works absolutely fantastic. it is reliable. i know guys, who gig with the F1 way even more than i do. they´re really happy.

  • OK, that's what I thought. I am wondering whether sometimes the user's reviews are really that honest, know what I mean. About cabinets, what are u using ? I was thinking of getting the 2 traveler cabs 102P and 151P... what would u recommend ?

  • i have a german made FMC cab. its a 2x12 + 8 + horn cab. on this clips, i use a tecamp 2x12 cab. it´s hard to recommend something, taste can be sooo different.

just try as much as you can.
