If ever a production car had a lot in common with Formula One, it is the BMW M3. So it is no surprise that BMW is releasing a racing version of the latest generation of this impressive sports car. i went to an alms race and seen 2 racing, and at the bmw booth there was an e36 e46 and a e92 gtr m3's.....it was ssiiiickk

@MOTORMOUTH2009 That must be why they can't compete in GS (M3) showroom stock against Ford or in the ST (328i) class against Kia, Mazda, and Volkswagen (2011 Continental Sports Car Challenge, look it up).

Or against anything in ALMS without a waiver to change their suspension from struts to wishbones (see Car & Driver).
