This is part of a segmented 61-star speedrun of Super Mario Galaxy, playing as Luigi. Segment 4 consists of Space Junk Galaxy 1 - Pull Star Path, Space Junk 2 - Kamella's Airship Attack, Space Junk 3 - Tarantox's Tangled Web, and Rolling Green Galaxy - Rolling in the Clouds.
(To the Fountain) - This part claimed a decent amount of restarts, actually. Going behind the Terrace can be trickier than it looks; the "hitbox" of the back of the Terrace seems a little strange.
Pull Star Path (1m45s) - Quite nice overall. I seem to have gotten more comfortable with the majority of the level than before (compared to my IL run). At the end, I usually make it up to the last silver star without grabbing the edge, but it's no big deal.
Kamella's Airship Attack (1m36s) - The jump to Kamella's ship is rather difficult, because the timing of the octopus enemy is different every time. I watch the octopus's first shot after I land from the launch star, and then try to guess the timing from there. However, the interval between shots varies as well. An alternative strategy is to land on the other side without the help of the fire shot, but this is also difficult due to a strange invisible wall.
The highlight of this level is the "randomness" of Kamella's pattern (though I'm not even sure if it's controllable randomness or not). It seems that most of the time you get the last shell on the 3rd shot (after 2 fire shots), but here I got it on the 2nd shot. I'm not at all sure if this is right, but judging from the last 4-6 attempts, it seemed that I got the earlier shell when I went to the Wii Menu between segment attempts, instead of just pressing Reset on my Wii. The reason I thought of doing this was from my testing with comet patterns, sometime before I started this speedrun.
It's possible to get an even better boss pattern than I did here, but I think it has never happened in a real segment attempt. It seems to me that certain boss patterns only occur if you die and respawn before the boss ship, and then enter the fight. Compared to this run's 2-2-2 boss pattern, I have gotten patterns like 2-2-1, 2-1-1, and 1-2-3. Since I've never had patterns like these in real segment attempts (and there were around 20 that reached this boss), I'm not going to worry about this too much.
Tarantox's Tangled Web (1m59s) - To get through the glass sphere, I stand roughly in the right spot and then repeatedly crouch and spin; I found it fairly easy to do. The trick was found by Yabada (aka Normand). On the way to Tarantox, you can triple jump from the rocket and skip a sling pod, but it's difficult and might only save one second. For the Tarantox fight, I may have been slightly cautious, but I didn't miss a shot. Though, at one point you'll notice that I jump up to a sling pod and go right through it; that happens if I jump too soon after landing from the previous shot.
Rolling in the Clouds (0m56s) - I was having a bit of trouble deciding whether to do this level or Battlerock Barrage for this segment, but I ended up thinking Rolling Green was slightly easier. It's probably a close call, though. Anyway, I'm really glad I managed to close the segment with a smooth run here. The rail jump at the beginning is one of those weird things that I'll mess up if I'm thinking about it too much. The rest of the level can't be taken for granted, either.
Personally, very satisfied with this segment.
is this from SDA? (SpeedDemosArchive)

@DXfilmzzz No, it's just from me. >_> But when I finish the run, I plan to submit it to SDA.

I once did a glitch to skip the rolling ball bill board, I did the same thing with the bubble in Bubble Blast Galaxy.

I knew about skipping the sign in the bubble level, but... Rolling Green? That would be new. When I tried, there was some invisible force that prevented me from getting on the ball before talking to Bill Board.

Why does the space junk galaxy's bgm have to sound so depressing?

Really? I think it's nice and calming. Maybe it doesn't fit a speedrun very well, but still.
