Excellent insights by Rob Watson the father of Leed from the States. By highlighting and linking behaviour and consumption to the construction environment he really hits home that we also have to change our paradigms and way of living. The comment regarding 'green' materials that out-perform environmentally damaging choices certainly changes the prevailing view that environmentally-friendly is expensive. His personal account about his youth and the experience during the drought was excellent.
