@QtipAppaloosa That is a downright LIE. I have worked with racehorses and the horses LOVE racing. The jockey has to know the horse and if they have no bond, they don't win. It is a sport about money, but the horses are the first priority! If they earn no money, the stable can't run. But the horses are the most important of all! The horses are NOT used and then disposed! Shut up unless you know what's ACTUALLY TRUE

@WolfCreekCity Also, there isn't as much money to be made in cross country. They do it for the love of horses, and for the love of the sport. They work WITH their horses. Racers USE their horses, then dispose of them when they are not of use. And that's only if the horse is deemed worth of training and avoids being killed as a foal. Most racehorses that race to their death are 2-3 years old. They haven't even had a chance to live. And all that happens, just for MONEY.
