@HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN 4 months late with an answer, but just today I had this CD on in my car. I noticed that that there were additional tracks, and one of them is the Nesmith version, which sounds very unnnatural. So, to have a permanent copy of Mike singing the song, it's on the CD version of the soundtrack.

He is a really good dancer, im a dancer myslef and ive seen videos of him at concerts singing and dancing and it is so hard for me to sing and dance he has talent!

When I saw them in Coney Island about a month ago, Davy wore a white suit like the one he wore in Head when he did Daddy's song but I'm sure its not the same one. Eh it didn't matter to me, 44 years and a few more pounds heavier, Davy's still adorable.
