  • Lol, I had two of these knives as a kid. They are complete junk, BUT, I will say I did take it camping and as a 9 year old kid I got to use all the things in the handle and they all did work for at least a short time. I used the cable saw to cut fire wood and a long branch to use as a fishing pole. I used the hooks, line and sinkers and actually caught fish. Again, they are junk knives but for a childs first try at survival, under supervision, they arent bad for the cost

  • @TheFourbyfanatic

great point.. and if you caught a fish with this equipment.. that says a lot about your skills, well done !

  • Well, then i would suggest you using a piece of obsidian next time you go to an adeventure, Mr. complainer.

  • lol my dad has that knife and the plastic part that holds a stone dryd and broke off and the compass is missing and we threw out the survival kit... i have a 9 inch long survival knife with a very good sheath a cord wrapped handle and saw on the back with a survival kit and compass in the handle and a stone in the sheath.... the compass broke but it looks exactly like a rambo first blood knife but its a cheaper version u can use and it is very good quality for a 80's 20$ knife...

  • @RomanKnight88 lol a knife with a monkey pic. is funny :D

  • i think you can use this to open a couples of beer's or cans lol bad knife

  • low quality knife sux :(

  • If thats all u had in da amazon u would sukk the knifes dick all day..poor knife

  • ..I used to have one of those bk in the 80s, however mine had "what I thought" a leather sheet.. but it turned out to be hard preassured paper that looked like leather when it was painted black lol

However.. the one good thing that came out of it was infact the lead weights for fishing with the holes in them, as you put the line through the hole then lock it by putting a tiny wooden stick in the hole wich makes them reusable and adjustable and dont need pliers to fasten em, so thumbs on that.:)

  • LMAO at the guy who puts "cheap" and "survival" both in the same package.

  • Is it sharp? Should i buy it?

  • Ive own one of these, have since I was a kid. Under stress the threads for the nut that hold the blade on can start to strip and although it didn't fully let go the blade started wobbling pretty bad. Removed it, filed it down, re-threaded it to a smaller size with a new nut with a washer under it. It's usable but still not a good knife. Also blade is hard to sharpen and doesn't hold an edge long. I keep it around for sentimental reasons. It's still better than a pointy stick....
