First, i want to thank you for not generalizing by saying "Black people". It's a Mentality, a psychological devoid of poverty. Yes, Hip-Hop fashion has influence people to over spend to buy "Baby Phat" or "Jordans". Your view point focuses on the Urban communities which Hip-Hop culture came, and you can identify with the Culture. The American Dream is to be successful and rich, sadly, many people cannot accomplish this. So, they simulate it. The States remain #1 in credit card debt.
