I do these things so that you don't have to! In an emergency, a lift won't stop and you'll start loosing limbs if you put the wrong body part in the wrong place. It's a risk that YOU don't need to take.

In this video, I didn't realise that the roller switches move forwards and backwards, depending upon whether at the "top of the shaft ramps" or the "bottom of the shaft ramps".

How the heck did you manage to get up there? :) Awesome video and roped hydraulics are my favorite type of hydraulic elevator. More interesting stuff to see and they are usually decently fast.

amazing what we find on top of a lift. what are those numbers on the door? three plates tell the elevator when to level and where the floors are. a lift does a lot just to move. roller direction tells the lift which end of the hoistway it is.
