Sure it makes sense. Those poachers are absolute scum. The animals would probably give you more of a chance to get away if you came into contact with them. These guys would kill you for your shoes and fuck your corpse. I'm no PETA nutjob, but I really can't see the justice in letting human garbage do as they please.

That British SAS is a beast to do that. Some of the Congolese cud be there for the money and food but regardless they risk thier lives for a good cause.
