UK TV Campaign: "Global Warming"

An excellently made video from the UK government narrated by the very sexy Ewan McGregor.

For those of you who have trouble understanding English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish accents (that more or less fall under the umberella of the "UK"):

"Life depends on the warmth of the Sun being trapped by a layer of gasses that surround the Earth. We now produce so much of these heat trapping gasses, that the layer is getting thicker, heating the world. Changing our climate and threatening our way of life.

As the world gets hotter, the climate will change and some of the extreme effects we have witnessed will become more frequent. Making our planet a more hostile place to live.

(News reporter: 100 degree's farenheit, it's the hottest day ever recorded in Britain)

If we could see the gasses, the causes of the problem would be obvious to everyone, and if you could see the effect we are having on our planet, you'd do something about it. The solutions exist, and it's not too late to make a difference but we have to act now, today.

The only agenda is to discontinue the tactless rape of the modern world. Global Warming is a FACT. Period. It is regarded by scientific consensus as happening NOW. Governments and the U.N have accepted it. Tell me, are you a U.S citizen, such a negative attitude is consistent amongst many (but not all) U.S citizen, mainybecause the govt there (and media) convinces you this isn't the case. IT IS.

Actually, I'm a US citizen but don't live in the US - nor do I watch alot of US media, and I beleive the govt is corrupt beyond my wildest dreams. I think for myself. Yes, GW is real, no - it is not proven that CO2 causes it. There is some evidence, in fact, that CO2 FOLLOWS temps, not the other way around.

There is much speculation about the origins of Global Warming, indeed. But at least you, alongwith mostof the rest of the world is accepting that it's occuring.

I'm not saying global warming will cause the sky to fall as so many Republicans imply on any liberal thinker. I do however believe that the effects of global warming will affect human beings within the coming 50 years.

The majority of the masses believe the propaganda and I guess that includes you. The minority of engineers and scientists that actually make this world go around agree almost unanimously that the temperature of the mass of the Earth's atmosphere is controlled by natural processes and not man. It is just that obvious to anyone that looks critically at the data.
