Did he say abu hanifa is a greater imam than imam shafi'i?

What does he base his evidences on? Ask anyone to name the greatest classical scholars and you'll find out who they saw as greater

@Darulislam1 "If you look for good in someone you will find it, if you look for bad you will find bad". Shaykh is referring to "great" in terms of following, which is simply undeniable, even today. This is true Ghair Muqalid and so called Pakistani Salfies they tells to Arabs wrong things about Tablighi Jammat and The Hanafi Fiqh. and divide us from the teaching of Islam and tell them their Aqeeda are not good they are Mushriq, Munafiq etc.

When I watch the video of Mahraj Rabbani and Tauseef Ur-Rehman and I think that how it is possible that they are sitting in Saudi Arab and spreading hatred speeches against Ulmah-E-Haq Ahl-E-Sunnah Wal Jamamt

I have a question maybe you can ask one of your teachers for me.

I am not a student of knowledge, but I followed the basic hanafi fiqh most of my life for 23 yrs. while living in Lahore, until I moved to Ontario where there was a small Muslim community who followed the Malaki fiqh. I was told that I must change my madhab, but I couldn't get used to their fiqh regarding salat and other things, nor did I want to relearn the basics so now I follow Salafi dawah.

Am I considered a sinner?

Thinkingmuslims no the ottomans ruled by hanafi fiqh, so did the mamluks, so did the Abbasids , and so did the mughals. Did Allah make the largest and longest empires of the Muslim ummah be run using the fiqh of misguidance nay these were the greatest Muslim empires and Allah would not misguide the entire Muslims for 1200 yers

He is absoloutley right in saying that to a ignorant person or even a layman you give examples but to a scholar you give proof (daleel).

It is just wrong to say that "No we must always do taqleed even if we become strong in knowledge and the daleel of our imam seems weaker than others." And one of the main reason Abu Hanifa's madhab is most popular is because it was the state religion of the Ottomans, hence, they put emphasis on hanafi imams, schools, teachers, etc. So, I'd say this is circumstantial. Allah Knows Best.
