I can't lie that was my first thought. Especially seeing the mother here, the grandmother isn't as bad, but she looks nothing like his real mother. It just threw me off. I can't say I'm too surprised because Hollywood tends to pretend afro-Latinos don't exist or that they don't know they exist...but it is what it is.
