(Now in HD!) Never released outside of Japan, Crisis Force is a classic top-down scrolling shooter. Find out if the game is any good in this review.

  • someone please tell me where I could get a hard copy of the game...any recommendation of websites or stores would be helpful. Thanks.

  • I'd start with the store over at risingstuff (go to risingstuff site and click store at the top). They are a very good store located in Japan and the owners are English speakers. If they don't have it in stock, write to them and they can usually find it. Shipping is not cheap from them though as it's coming from Japan directly but the store there is very reliable.

  • is a scrolling shooter still a scrolling shooter if the viewpoint is from above and not the side?

  • Yes. What you described (top-down view) is a vertical scrolling shooter, the side-view thing is called a horizontal scrolling shooter.

  • @jmahrky This is so much better than Legendary Wings.....

  • reminds me of legendary wings

  • is this on VC i wonder ??

  • Definitely one of the more impressive shooters on the NES... the first time I saw some of the graphic effects, even my graphics-whore boyfriend was impressed, and he never says that about anything that came out before the PS2 ;)

  • A week later, I went back and tried again.

Beat it on Normal; warp bomb is too good.

  • I just played this game for the first time yestreday on a vintage Famicom (Not NES, Japanese Famicom).

It was pretty goddamn awesome, to say the least.

    Fucking Final Boss, though.

  • Configurations, configurations, dose it come with leather seating and a cup holder.. and how many miles dose it get to the gallon is my major question.

  • special energy hits
