Here shows the significant difference in the signal strength using the stock rubber duck antenna instead of the 3-element tape measure Yagi antenna. With the rubber duck antenna, my radio signal strength was too low to make it into the repeater and the repeaters signal was barely readable.

  • I was wanting to know whats that on the back of your HT to hold on to it? I use a Arrow ant sometimes and I have a hard time holding the HT at the same time and can your buy them somewere. Iam realy thinking on buying your ant. to I wrote u about it on Ebay haveing that on the HT woulnd help when I take it out of tripes. Thanks Marvin KD0JCW
