Most people don't realize that both Tropical Storms and Hurricanes spawn Tornadoes. The tornadoes are hard to detect, because they're hidden in the midst of all of the other elements (rain and wind, gusts) of those violent storms. That's why in the aftermath of those types of storms, you'll see that some houses and properties (Including trees, power lines) are more damaged than others, because a Tornado did the initial damage, the other storm elements added to that damage/finished the job.
