Boy he hits it right on the head with those western diseases. Unfortunately, he is guessing what the exact cause is. It is probably grains in general, not the red meat. Whole grains probably are just as much of a culprit. Carbohydrates are the best candidate for the cause of the big four western diseases, not all those other things he listed.

Keep the crap (toxins) out of you such as... fast food, processed foods, SUGAR, aspartame (artificial sweetners), fried foods (trans fats), flour, table salt, enriched anything, over the counter drugs (like tylenol), prescription drugs, alcohol, etc.
think NATURE - eat WHOLE foods. mostly plant based. Fruits, veggies, Nuts & seeds. Meat if eaten should be clean. Grass feed beef, wild fish (not farmed), etc. Marijuana-Cannabis-Pot (whatever) for MEDICINE.

EVERYONE can and should.
from the White House all the way down to my house
Excellent interview - thank you.
Regarding GMO's, given the US Government's pro-GMO stance, we cannot count on them to help us. It is up to US consumers to demand mandatory labeling for foods that contain genetically engineered organisms (currently 70% of processed food). Then we'll know what foods to avoid.
We all have the right to know what we are eating.
