  • The Chase, was one of the biggest hits that hit the clubs in the seventies. Based on the true story of Billy hays who was sentenced to thirty years in turkey's most violent prison. The music sets the stage where his attempted escape was foiled by a fellow american who works for the american embassy. This song won an oscar for its originality that none other can match. It also sparked the way for techno to reach new heights with more popular and explosive responses. Excellent music.

  • "Ladies and gentlemen, here they are! The most awesome, powerful force on the face of the planet, the Unites States Tag Team champions, Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan, the Midnight Express!"

Thank you to Mr. Moroder, for such an awesome piece of music, and further thanks to Jim Cornette and TBS for instantly bringing back fond childhood memories whenever I hear it.

  • @kayitdisiki, Actally it was Malta, not Greece. Some actors were Greek (two cops and the translator in the Court of Law).

  • @blackmamba99971 not techno, DISCO

  • that film was shooted in Greece

  • You do nothing but rip us off and give us shitty tea Rifke ...

  • @cheapcape you are correct..The American Prison system is amongst the most brutal on the planet...for all of it's supposed cultural superiority, America lags waaay behind in human rights. Don't step on the cracks. Prison sucks where ever you may find it, so try to avoid that shit.

  • Donde'esta me frejolies?

  • questa musica a parte il film visto 100 volte se la scordano oggi bisogna averla nel sangue e averla vissuta grande.

  • Then you should read his book which he wrote after his escape to greece. Not only was it based on his life, but it showed the nature of the prison itself. I am sure that although some of the contents of the movie was changed, the idea of his imprisonment and what he went through psychologically as well as physically is accurate. Remember, turkish prisons and their guards do not believe that prisoners are human, once you're in, you are theirs both body and mind. San quentin and CYA are gangs now.

  • @blackmamba99971 But actually only partially based on a true story. Turkey isn't as bad as the movie showed. I'm willing to bet San Quentin or CYA can match any Turkey prison now.

  • my fav track from flashback FM (GTA Liberty city stories) Its YEARS ahead of its time, although it was recorded in 1977 it reminds me of the year 1984 when this sort of sound was popular.
