  • How did the GOCs get there??

  • @ASUSfan08 They came to Verna on a goods train. Although KR1/2 (56440/1) are now GOC WDM2 links, having taken over from ERS WDM2s.

  • 2nd loco is dead

  • @maheshs60 How do you work that out?

  • @A9107 - first one is smoking ferociously, 2nd one doesn't seem to be smoking at all

  • @avinashi07 The second loco doesn't smoke as much, but the little smoke it does make is thrown higher into the sky, look at the first few seconds and again at around 32 seconds. They are both working.

  • Awesome smoking by the Alco twins! Wish you had captured more of the KR liveried coaches (blue with red stripes).

  • @tadorjee: Why should they rely on foreign companies to build their train. India has done a remarkable job building their own locomotives at a fraction of the cost of importing. HSR is nice but regional trains like these will always be the backbone of the system.

  • @tadorjee - electrification is a waste of money , resources and energy if the line doesn't see much of passenger and freight traffic

  • Even today it's not electrified???

India must buy european superfast trains.Like China did.
