  • I really wished double dee and steinski used vinyl instead of ableton live during this performance. It's just not the same as their performance years ago.

  • forever inbedded in our history of hip hop.

  • great

  • @spinradiofm You know big apple production vol, 1 was put out in 1981 but Ser & Duff got credit for the album. But I believe The Latin Rascals had something to do with Vol 1. So I correct myself ,unofficially Tony and Albert had an album out before Double Dee and Steinski.

  • @spinradiofm So true, I give you Grandmaster flash with the first mix album that I can recall, Double Dee and Steinski put out lesson 1 in 1983, My favorite Dj's of all time The Latin Rascal did not put anything out on wax till 1985, but like I said they were one of the first, not saying they were the first. I too was in NYC in the 70's and 80's and 90's so I was blessed also to actually live it..

    Peace

  • @pr2409 Not true. There was Grandmaster Flash's "Adventures On The Wheels Of Steel" which did the same thing. There were also guys like The Latin Rascals and Shep Pettibone. Being in NYC has major advantages 'cause the only way you know what I am talking about is if you lived here back then OR if you read about it in some book. I lived it and still live it. :)

  • Mixing MP3`s showing really the skills I want to see from Mixing-Legends. This completely satified me.

  • meh.. too robotic.. these dudes barely even move to the beats; they're just standing there like robots, generating random sounds/beats. lol, that's my piece anyway.

  • Lesson 3 (History of Hip Hop)

This is from the live at Roseland Ballroom, NYC in 2002.

  • cool
