More crappy, grainy video, but the info is rock-solid and easy to understand.

Here is a tutorial on how to import and use single-cycle waveforms in your Korg ESX, as well as some techniques on getting them to act/sound like you are modulating wavetables. Enjoy! :)

  • You sound like that guy on Always Sunny.

  • @KennyMotoTLS Right on.. I am not familiar with the reference.

    Always Sunny in Phillidelphia

  • @KennyMotoTLS Oh yeah, nice.. lol. You'll have to forgive me, I haven't owned a television in almost 14 years. I'm not kidding..

  • Thanks for all the great tips. ps there is advice on accurate start modulation at the top of the Korg Electribe Forum :)

  • @Robosardine It's true, you can set the sample start, via editing the motion sequence destination, for each note in the 8 bars, however.. What I would like is to be able to set the LFO to modulate the sample start like it does the pitch, filter cutoff, amp and pan. Then you could use the S/H (random) wave to mod and get some true random weirdness, especially with the BPM lock.
