@stringbreaker6 So you don't understand how guys like Vai, Hendrix, Page, Vaughan, Petrucci, Johnson, etc. get enjoyment out of distortion pedals? There's a reason why pedals like the Tube Screamer, and the Big Muff are still huge selling pedals. Even some guys with $3500 boutique amps will put a TS or BM in front of it for a little extra balls during leads. Some people even take a tube PREAMP (it's not a distortion box) pedal like this one, and run it directly into a tube power amplifier.
