rather than increasing funding to enable Planned Parenthood to help Americans and thereby prevent abortions, far right wing hypochristian conservatards want to decrease or eliminate funding, thereby effectively increasing abortions in the USA

postscript:

A federal judge blocked an Indiana law on Friday that protects taxpayers from having to fund the Planned Parenthood abortion business with public funds via family planning programs through Medicaid.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt in Indianapolis granted Planned Parenthood's request for a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit filed after Republican Governor Mitch Daniels signed the law in May. "While it remains to be seen who will ultimately prevail on the merits, the court is persuaded" that Planned Parenthood demonstrated a "reasonable likelihood of success" in challenging the law, Pratt wrote in her decision.

"The public interest also tilts in favor of granting an injunction," Pratt said, citing the threats the Obama administration made to yank billions in federal funding from Indiana because of its decision to not fund the abortion business.

"Denying the injunction could pit the federal government against the state of Indiana in a high-stakes political impasse," Pratt said. "If dogma trumps pragmatism and neither side budges, Indiana's most vulnerable citizens could end up paying the price as the collateral damage of a partisan battle."

  • I don't support PP b/c I had an experience at a Portland clinic once. My family wanted to have me sterilized but I was against it considering it was my body and I'm still a virgin, that decision is between me, my future husband and God whether or not i want kids. I was 18 at the time so I had a say but I was under pressure that I felt no one cared what i had to say. on the day of the procedure, as they were about to prepare, I got uncomfortable and i screamed so they stopped the procedure.

  • @Stephie2007 - your story is a very sad one and i'm sorry you experienced it. but your story specifically illustrates the point of my video.

you're placing the blame on PP when you ought to be placing the blame on those who coerced you into doing something to your body that you did not wish to do.

YOU should be in charge of YOUR body, NOT your parents, NOT your family, NOT your partner, and ESPECIALLY NOT the government.

    do you understand this distinction?

  • @astraia1x it's not the whole story tho, after my 19th birthday, my father and stepmother planned a second attempt at getting me sterilized which they hoped i would be under sedation but i was still against it did they listen? no in fact, my father continued to pressure me into agreeing to a procedure i didn't want. this was set up so that i could get a medication for acne at that time but there had to be another reason and it wasn't fair at all.

  • @Stephie2007 the information you provide has nothing to do with planned parenthood, which means one of two thing >> you're a troll or you need mental health assistance. in case it's the former, you're now blocked. if it's the latter, please seek help from a mental health professional.

  • I don't know what I would have done without Planned Prenthood. I had to have help to learn my options. I was a poor college student living on my own. I've never had an abortion, but I did use PP for contraceptives and information and for intelligent, caring help. I knew many a young college friend who went to PP for the same reasons I did. Preventing an unwanted preganancy was only one of them. The GOP can keep it's EFFING hands of mone and my sisters bodies!

here's a couple of facts that may cause your head to explode, jackass:

abortion is LEGAL in the USA

murder is ILLEGAL in the USA

taking those two FACTS together, do you understand what that means?
