MMMMM yeah well they are correct..

    'general purpose' being the first

    LOL..

Colossus came before and was the FIRST programmable digital & electronic computer and came out nearly 2 years before..

    : D

  • @LordGeorgeRodney

well then you should inform the Encyclopedia - Britannica that they are wrong lol

"ENIAC, in full Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer, ENIAC [Credit: Smithsonian Institution]the first programmable general-purpose electronic digital computer."

vv vv vv (dot ) britannica (dot) com/EBchecked/topic/183842/ENIAC

  • @edison700 flip flop circuits were British invention chum!

Colussus was the first digital, electronic, programmable computer

ENIAC was NOT digital! Colossus was actually faster being 25 KOPS whilst

     ENIAC only had 5KOPS

  • Your both wrong, The Colossus was the first Electronic computer, ENIAC was first electronic programable computer. The Z1 was the first digital if not mechanical computer. Z1 did have limited programing, but the ENIAC was the first true mutlipurpose programable computer, and some of its orignal designes are still used in modern computers (IE flip-flop circuits)

  • Nonsense and disinformation. The FIRST computer was the Z1 or Z3 made by the german Konrad Zuse.
