  • Matt, I don't understand why you feel compelled to purchase these games for your kids in the first place. Is the peer pressure, from the kids themselves, or the peer pressure from other parents who do the same, simply because it's the thing to do? If so, there might be a way around this: purchase the game, but sit down with the kids and go through the game, while at the same time pointing out the fact that war is NOT a video game. Show them some real footage...rest assured, they can take it.

  • @55ella2007k

I am not compelled to purchase anything for them. Something to keep in mind these are my stepsons and I do not have complete final say either. There are other people involved. In addition, these boys use their own birthday money or it was a birthday present usually. I have been a gamer from a kid myself and these boys understand this is not real but glamorized. With Heather and I being as vocal as we are about certain subjects they are fully aware war in not fun or a game.

  • I think a much better option for kids other than gaming is to learn a musical instrument

  • @mconn2112 Well, that's a good thing, then. I meant no offense, btw. Just thinking out loud.

  • the dumber we are and follow instructing like good little boys and girls they better we will all be.....I think NOT!!!!! Wow wait I can still think for myself, but how much longer will that last? deliberate dumbing down com check it out and they have some good articles there too and I downloaded the ebook to read as well

  • @0fDaughter

No, I am not offended or anything like that. I hope I didn't come off sounding aggressive, it wasn't my intention. I appreciate your comments and the feedback. :-)

  • @0fDaughter

There is nothing wrong with playing a game, I was a huge gamer myself from a young age, but lots of kids do nothing but play when they get home. There is more to life than kicking ass on MW3 as well.

  • @0fDaughter

Govt. educated drones are no the onl things school is good for. Without schools most people would be illiterate, its just the way it is. I don't like the system any more than you or most but I don't see masses of people withdrawing their children to home school or teach them themselves. Its because they are either too busy or too lazy. People rely and even lean on teachers to educate their children, its sad.

  • @EuphoricImpact

Thank you brother. Much love and respect. I just felt compelled to say something. I am not without flaws and by no means am I a perfect parent, but I know how my mom used to treat school for me and the importance of doing what I needed to do to get my work done (whether I always followed her advice or not). I jut thought it was ridiculous.

  • @EuphoricImpact thanks my friend.....its nice to see Matt being supported by a friend, and not kicked. much love and respect to you. xoxox

  • @EuphoricImpact (part 3) do not show up then all of this does not matter anyway!

I hate you had to do this video! It is great to see you care. I would expect nothing less from you brother. Peace
