'89 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 6cyl. 4WD limited. 3" suspension lift 31" tires stock axles with 1:3,75 gears, "LockRight" lockers front and rear. Disconnected swaybars front and rear.

I recorded this video on a private land where I got permit to enter.

The popping sound you can hear when bigger axle articulations are caused by the tires, rub against the fender flare. I should to trim the fender, or install a bumpstop.

  • Does it rub on the front or rear? I'm running 33"s on a 5" lift and i'm still trimming my fenders in different places. Awsome truck dude

  • Thanks dorkfish.

It does rub front and rear. The fact is, I didn't install (yet) a bumpstops, but I should to. Because I'm not an off road enthusiast but I'm a wildlife photographer, so mostly I drive light off road, so wasn't important to install bumstops or trimming the fenders. I'm OK with this rig. But I thinking to takeing off the plastic fender rim because those take about 2" room.

  • I got a comment what said "the mud flaps on my rig look kind of stupid, so loose them"

I tried to answer for this comment several times but always got some error. I accidently delete the comment too.

Now finally I was able to post th answer.

  • The mud flaps are an important safety features!

Reduce the mist behind me at a rainy day in traffic, so other motorist can see better my tail ligths and brake lights. Also prevent the tires, to shoot out small rocks from the pavement, towards other motorist behind me!

You are not alon on the road! You have to think about what your rig can cause!

So may the flaps looks stupid, but I use them for your safety!
